This is an amazing example of an all original 1962 Stratocaster. Yep, we said it, ALL ORIGINAL*

*except a slight flash coat of nitro laquer on the back of the neck due to wear and tear.

The Fender 1962 Stratocaster Sunburst is an iconic electric guitar revered for its classic design, exceptional craftsmanship, and rich, vintage tone. As one of the most celebrated Stratocaster models, the 1962 version represents a pinnacle in Fender’s golden era of guitar production. The classic three-tone sunburst finish highlights the beautiful contours of the guitar’s alder body, providing a timeless look that has captivated musicians for decades.

This Stratocaster features a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, a shift from the earlier maple boards, offering a warmer, smoother feel and sound. The neck has a slim, comfortable "C" shape profile, perfect for fast playing and smooth bends. The 21 vintage-style frets and 7.25-inch fingerboard radius enhance the guitar’s playability, maintaining a vintage authenticity in both feel and performance.

Equipped with three single-coil pickups, the 1962 Strat delivers the bright, glassy tones that the Stratocaster is known for. These pickups, paired with the three-way selector switch, offer a wide range of tonal options—from clean, bell-like chimes to gritty, bluesy overdrive. The guitar’s tremolo bridge adds further versatility, allowing for subtle pitch modulation or more dramatic dive-bombs, while maintaining tuning stability.

With its timeless sunburst finish, flawless craftsmanship, and iconic tone, the Fender 1962 Stratocaster is a favourite among collectors and players alike. It remains a symbol of the Stratocaster's influence on music history, favoured by legendary guitarists across generations for its versatility, playability, and unmistakable vintage sound.
