Fender 1962 Jazz Bass, USED
This amazing marvel of history and craftsmanship comes in the form of a Jazz bass, from before the days of CBS owning fender.
This Bass has had some parts replaced but still remains an amazing instrument. The pickups are original with only one pot failing in it's time being fixed by John Birch in the 80's but other than that electronically it is all original.
This Bass has had a Re-finish in late 60's/early 70's , New fretboard, new inlays a re-fret and the tuners changed, this was due to the bass having been gigged and the original paint being stripped off, so the bass was re-finished by John Diggins of Jaydee in the stunning black that it is now. The original paintwork is believed to be either black or sunburst.
Whilst not wholly original this bass still has the character of the the early 60's jazz basses with it's original pickups and rich history this bass is suited to any player looking for the classic jazz bass tone.
