Why Choose The Fender JB-75 Jazz Bass Natural?
Classic ’70s Jazz Bass Style
The JB-75 model family is inspired by the 1970s Jazz Bass era, giving players a bold Fender look with strong vintage character. The Natural finish is especially associated with ’70s-style Jazz Bass instruments and gives the bass a clean, timeless stage presence.
Made in Japan Fender Appeal
Fender Japan instruments are highly respected for their consistency, playability and used-market desirability. A MIJ JB-75 offers a compelling blend of classic Fender design and Japanese craftsmanship.
Dual Jazz Bass Pickup Versatility
The two single-coil pickup layout is one of the main reasons the Jazz Bass remains so popular. The neck pickup gives warmth and body, the bridge pickup adds bite and definition, and blending both pickups provides the balanced Jazz Bass tone heard across countless recordings.
Passive Simplicity
With a simple passive control layout, this bass is easy to dial in and reliable on stage. There is no battery to worry about, making it practical for rehearsal, recording and regular gigging.
Natural Finish Character
The Natural finish gives the bass a distinctive ’70s-inspired look. It is ideal for players who want something classic, clean and visually different from standard solid-colour finishes.
Excellent Genre Flexibility
A Jazz Bass can handle a huge range of music. It works for fingerstyle, pick playing, slap, clean studio tones, driven rock sounds and more expressive melodic bass work.
Comparison Against Popular Alternatives
Fender JB-75 Jazz Bass vs Fender JB-62 Jazz Bass
The JB-62 is based around a 1960s-style Jazz Bass format, while the JB-75 leans into the 1970s-inspired look and feel. The JB-75 is the stronger choice for players who specifically want the Natural finish and bolder ’70s aesthetic.
Fender JB-75 Jazz Bass vs Fender Player Jazz Bass
A Fender Player Jazz Bass offers modern Mexican-made Fender reliability and current production convenience. The JB-75 appeals more to players who want Japanese Fender build quality, older MIJ character and a more vintage-inspired specification.
Fender JB-75 Jazz Bass vs Fender American Jazz Bass
An American Jazz Bass offers USA-made Fender specification and premium positioning. The JB-75 provides a respected Japanese-made alternative with strong used-market appeal and classic Jazz Bass versatility.
Fender JB-75 Jazz Bass vs Precision Bass
A Precision Bass gives a thicker, more direct split-coil sound. A Jazz Bass offers more tonal shaping through its two-pickup layout, making it especially useful for funk, soul, pop, jazz, indie and session-style playing.

Specification Note
The supplied serial number is T094382. Fender’s Japanese serial-number guidance includes more than one T + 6 digits period, so the serial should be treated as a guide rather than a final date on its own. Fender lists T + 6 digits in the 1994–1995 Japanese serial range and also lists Made in Japan T + 6 digits for 2007–2010 during a later transitional period.
The JB-75 specification can vary by production period and market, so this listing avoids unconfirmed claims about body wood, neck profile, pickup originality and bridge details unless verified directly from the instrument.
Power Requirements
No power supply or battery is required. This is a passive electric bass and only needs a standard 1/4" instrument cable and a suitable bass amplifier, pedalboard, PA system or audio interface.
