Friedman IR-X all-tube preamp pedal, (Used)

The Friedman IR-X is a dual-channel all-tube preamp pedal built around two high-voltage 12AX7 preamp tubes, designed to deliver authentic Friedman amplifier response in a compact format. It combines genuine tube gain stages with integrated speaker cabinet impulse response processing, allowing use with traditional amplifiers, recording interfaces, powered cabinets, and PA systems.

Channel 1 is voiced for clean to Plexi-style crunch sounds and includes a 3-way Bright switch for shaping top-end response. Channel 2 delivers higher-gain Friedman tones and features a 2-way Tight switch that adjusts low-end response and attack characteristics. Both channels include independent boost circuits for additional gain and volume when required.

The controls are Gain, Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble, and Boost Volume for each channel, along with a 3-way Bright switch on Channel 1, a 2-way Tight switch on Channel 2, and a 3-position CAB/IR selector for each channel. The tonal response ranges from dynamic cleans and classic British crunch to saturated modern high-gain sounds, with strong note definition, rich harmonic content, and amplifier-like touch sensitivity.
