Description
The Gretsch G2622T Streamliner Center Block in Torino Green is a stylish and versatile semi-hollow electric guitar that combines classic Gretsch looks with a more modern, high-output playing character.
Its laminated maple double-cutaway body uses a center block to improve sustain and help control feedback, while a pair of Broad’Tron BT-2S humbuckers deliver a fuller, punchier sound than more traditional low-output Gretsch pickups. A Bigsby B70 vibrato adds the expressive pitch movement and unmistakable visual style associated with many classic Gretsch guitars.
This Pre-Owned example is in Very Good condition, weighs an actual 7.28 lbs and is supplied without a case.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
The G2622T Streamliner strikes a useful balance between traditional Gretsch character and a more powerful contemporary electric-guitar sound. The center block gives the guitar more focus and sustain than a fully hollow instrument while still retaining the open, resonant feel associated with semi-hollow designs.
The Broad’Tron pickups give it enough output for driven rock tones while remaining clear enough for cleaner rhythm work, blues and indie styles. Combined with the Bigsby vibrato and distinctive Torino Green finish, it is a guitar with a strong personality both visually and sonically.
DETAILED FEATURES & BENEFITS
Laminated Maple Center Block Body
The G2622T uses a laminated maple body with a central internal block running through the guitar. This construction helps reduce unwanted feedback at higher volume while increasing sustain and attack compared with a fully hollow body.
Torino Green Finish
The Torino Green gloss finish gives this Streamliner a particularly striking appearance and works especially well with the aged-white binding, black pickguard and nickel hardware.
Nato Neck
The set nato neck uses a Thin "U" profile, giving the guitar a comfortable, relatively streamlined feel that suits rhythm playing, chords and lead work without feeling excessively bulky.
Laurel Fingerboard
A laurel fingerboard with a 12" radius provides a smooth and familiar playing surface. The flatter radius works well for bends and lead playing while still remaining comfortable for chord-based styles.
Broad’Tron BT-2S Pickups
The pair of Broad’Tron BT-2S humbuckers provide a stronger and fuller voice than many traditional Gretsch-style pickups. They deliver enough punch for overdriven rock while maintaining useful clarity for cleaner playing.
Flexible Gretsch Controls
Each pickup has its own volume control, while a separate Master Volume and Master Tone allow overall output and brightness to be adjusted quickly. This makes it easy to balance the two pickups and then control the whole guitar from the Master Volume.
Bigsby B70 Vibrato
The Bigsby B70 provides smooth, subtle pitch movement for chords, sustained notes and expressive lead playing. It is particularly effective for rockabilly, indie, atmospheric and vintage-inspired guitar styles.
Anchored Adjusto-Matic Bridge
The anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge provides stable intonation adjustment and works together with the Bigsby tailpiece to create the familiar Gretsch playing response.
7.28 lbs Actual Weight
This individual guitar weighs an actual 7.28 lbs, making it relatively manageable for a full-size center block instrument and suitable for longer rehearsals or live sets.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The Gretsch G2622T Streamliner is particularly well suited to indie, blues, rock, alternative, rockabilly, pop and vintage-inspired players who want semi-hollow character without moving to a fully hollow guitar.
It is also a strong choice for players coming from solid-body guitars who want more acoustic resonance while retaining the feedback resistance and sustain benefits of a center block.
The Broad’Tron pickups give it enough power for more driven styles, making the G2622T more versatile than its retro appearance might initially suggest.
PLAYING STYLES & APPLICATIONS
The G2622T works especially well for indie, alternative, blues, rockabilly, classic rock, pop, country and ambient guitar styles.
The bridge pickup gives a punchier, more focused sound for rhythm and lead playing, while the neck pickup provides a warmer response for blues, jazzier passages and cleaner work.
Using both pickups together provides a broad, balanced sound that works especially well for chord-based playing and effects-heavy textures.
HOW IT COMPARES
Gretsch G2622T vs Fully Hollow Gretsch
A fully hollow Gretsch generally has a more open and resonant acoustic character but can be more sensitive to feedback at higher gain or stage volume. The G2622T's center block gives it increased sustain and better feedback resistance.
Gretsch G2622T vs Solid-Body Guitar
A traditional solid-body guitar generally has a tighter, more focused response. The G2622T adds greater acoustic resonance and a more spacious feel while retaining much of the stability and sustain associated with solid-body instruments.
G2622T vs G2622
The G2622T includes the Bigsby B70 vibrato, while G2622 versions without the "T" designation typically use a fixed tailpiece. The G2622T is therefore the better option for players who want traditional Bigsby pitch effects.

FAIR DEAL MUSIC EXPERT VERDICT ★★★★★
Best suited for: Players wanting classic Gretsch styling with a more powerful, versatile pickup response and the stability of center block construction.
Customers usually upgrade from: Entry-level semi-hollow guitars, solid-body electrics and lower-cost vintage-style instruments.
Most commonly paired with: Valve combos, clean pedal-platform amplifiers, overdrive, tremolo, delay and reverb effects.
Our tip: The Bigsby works best for subtle expressive movement rather than extreme dive-bomb effects. A gentle touch gives the most musical results and helps maintain tuning stability.
Showroom feedback: The Torino Green finish gives this G2622T a particularly distinctive look, while the Broad’Tron pickups and center block make it much more versatile than a purely vintage-style semi-hollow guitar.
