The Schecter Omen Extreme 7 in Black Cherry is a 7-string solid-body electric guitar built with a mahogany body and a carved quilted maple top finished in gloss Black Cherry. It uses a bolt-on maple neck with a Thin “C” profile, a rosewood fingerboard, a 26.5-inch scale length, 24 extra-jumbo frets, and a 16-inch radius, all designed for extended-range playing with stable low-string tension and fast upper-register access.

The hardware includes a Tune-o-Matic bridge with string-through-body construction, black chrome hardware, Schecter tuning machines, and a fixed bridge design that supports stable tuning under lower tunings commonly used on 7-string instruments. The neck construction and fretwork specification are set up for low action and consistent intonation across the extended range.

The electronics consist of two Schecter Diamond Plus humbucking pickups in an HH configuration, controlled by a three-way selector switch with volume and tone controls. The tone control includes a push-pull function that enables coil-splitting, expanding the instrument’s output from full humbucker power to brighter, single-coil-style voicings within the same pickup set.
