Seymour Duncan Mark Holcomb Omega Guitar Pickup, (Used, Comm)
The Seymour Duncan Mark Holcomb Omega is a passive 7-string bridge humbucker developed in collaboration with Periphery guitarist Mark Holcomb. It uses ceramic magnets and a high-output wind designed specifically for modern progressive metal playing, with an emphasis on tight low-end control and strong midrange articulation under heavy gain.
The tonal response is built around a very focused, percussive attack with fast transient response that keeps complex riffs and extended-range chords clearly defined. The low end stays controlled and disciplined even under drop tunings, while the upper mids are pushed forward to help the pickup cut through dense mixes. High frequencies are present but shaped to avoid harshness during high-gain saturation.
The design prioritises clarity and separation over vintage dynamics, producing a compressed, immediate feel that suits fast rhythm work, djent-style articulation, and modern metal lead tones where precision and consistency are essential.
